INNER RELATIONSHIP FOCUSING

Focusing is a way of paying attention inwardly that creates shifts in the way that situations or experiences are lived in the body. It is more than being in touch with your feelings and different from body work. It involves specific steps for getting a body sense of how you are. The sense is vague and unclear at first, but opens into words, images or sensations that lead to a felt shift in your body. You learn to live in a deeper place than just thoughts or feelings and can let go of ‘stuckness’. Research has shown that focusing decreases depression and anxiety, increases immune functioning and improves the relation to the body. Anyone can learn how to do it.

Individual sessions are available with trained focusing companions at a cost of £25 per hour.

If you would prefer to learn in a group setting, Exemplary Training offers Level 1 Learning to Focus and Level 1 and 2 Being A Focusing Companion. Each course lasts one day and costs £35.

More information is available at www.exemplarytraining.co.uk and individual sessions can be booked by calling Jackie Chivers on 07722 288244
