HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO IVS and The Peace One Day Programme. I can hardly believe it but here we are one year on from when we launched our Inspirational Voices website, the IVS enewsletter and the Magic Cafe. So whether you are a first timer or have been with us throughout the year we would love to see you at our Special Birthday Magic Cafe on Thursday 3 September to help us celebrate our coming

together with Song, Sound, Silence & Birthday Cake. And..........

If you can’t make it to the birthday party for celebrations and cake then maybe you will find something in this newsletter which will be a gift for you or for you to pass on to someone else. It truly has been a real privilege to be part of this first year of Inspirational Voices. Watching it grow as you would a child. Holding ones’ breathe as the first baby steps are taken. Being supported by other dreambuilders who encourage and cheer on every subsequent baby step or leap of faith. And remembering the KNOWING that it truly is a gift when we KNOW our part and have the courage to be it.

I was grateful to one of our readers recently when she sent me a video which explained the word Namaste. It’s a word I use often and regularly at the end of my monthly sharing. What I failed to realise was that she and maybe others didn’t know what it meant. It was a wonderful reminder to me that there are often words we use in our life that someone doesn’t know or understand. So often we can slip into assumptions, misunderstandings, conflict, and disharmony. So I was grateful for that which passed between us. She didn’t blame me for using jargon; she didn’t feel ashamed for not knowing what the word meant. What she did was to go out on her path of discovery and come back with a beautiful video link that I would like to share with you. This is the intention of IVS. From all that is Good or God in us we see the Good or God in you.

As I said at the beginning of this piece, IVS is not the only group of people celebrating this month. Another celebration, this time on a global level is also happening. 21 September is World Peace Day. Did you Know that?

An idea started by another Dreambuilder called Jeremy Gilley took its first baby steps in 1999 now 10 years on it continues to grow to bring about global peace and unity. You are invited to click onto the link below to see what it’s about and then go inside and ask yourself this question, “what is it that I know I am meant to do on this day of peace to help it grow and ripple out from me, my family, my workplace, my community, my government, my world.” Maybe you will get together with others to celebrate peace and let love and healing through, maybe you will share the idea with your family and celebrate it together. And if you are alone then let this day of peace bring peace to your own journey. May it be a day when acts of kindness to ourselves and others are in abundance? May we begin to love it so much that it becomes a week, a month a year of Peace. Let it grow until there comes a time when we look back in history and explain to our children what non-peace was like because it is something they had never experienced.
